Amble Reveal Debut Album, “Reverie”
Rising Irish folk trio Amble have unveiled their anxiously awaited debut album, Reverie today via Warner Records. The milestone arrives as the band continues their momentous past year, marked by their upcoming North American stadium dates supporting Hozier this summer and a massive sold-out headline tour.
Throughout the 14-track project, Amble showcases their signature sound: no-frills acoustic instrumentation, serene soundscapes, and heavenly natural harmonies. Recorded live, often in just one or two takes, the album features recent singles “Swan Song” and “Schoolyard Days,” fan favorites like “Lonely Island” and “Mary’s Pub,” plus eight brand new tracks.
“In the studio, we’re all sitting in a circle and playing together around a microphone,” says Robbie Cunningham (lead vocals/guitar). “Basically, everything is recorded live. You can feel the energy when you get the right take. If there’s even one mistake, we’ll start over. If you listen to Reverie, you’re truly hearing who we are.”
Amble’s meteoric rise is a testament to their dedication: the trio — Robbie Cunningham, Ross McNerney (mandolin/bouzouki), and Oisin McCaffrey (vocals/guitar) — only formed in late 2022 after quitting their day jobs as school teachers and a data scientist in rural Western Ireland. In just over two years, their captivating energy, descriptive storytelling, and heartfelt lyrics have cultivated a passionate global fanbase, translating into over 100 million streams and 100,000 tickets sold worldwide.
Due to the overwhelming success of their initial 2024-2025 headline run, newly announced fall dates for the Reverie Tour will extend their already extensive sold-out streak across the US, Canada, Europe/UK, and Australia throughout the first half of the year. Before embarking on these new dates, Amble will also join Hozier for major North American shows this summer, including two nights at Fenway Park in June, with festival appearances at this year’s Boston Calling, Summerfest, and Austin City Limits.
